Sponsorship License
On 27 November 2008, UK Border Agency introduced a new immigration system to ensure that only those with the right skills or the right contribution can come to the United Kingdom for work.
Any ‘creative and sporting worker’ that is not a non-visa national will have to apply for a (Tier 5 Temporary Worker) under the new points-based system to work in the United Kingdom. The creative and sporting worker category is for people coming to the United Kingdom to work or perform as sports people, entertainers or creative artists for up to 12 months.
To apply under the creative and sporting worker category, one must have:
- a sponsor; and
- a valid certificate of sponsorship.
Baytu Enterprises is the only Turkish agent in the UK (as of July 2009) which has a Sponsorship License under the new Point Based System (PBS).
